Srinagar, Jul 03 (KNO): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has paid rich tribute to the Rightly Guided Second Caliph of Islam, Ameer-ul-Moomineen Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) on the occasion of his martyrdom anniversary. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mirwaiz remembered Hazrat Umar Farooq's (RA) magnificence and unparalleled services to Islam. This fearless, strong and the just leader of Islam, during his golden period, brought justice, fairness, freedom, equality, religious tolerance and humanity to the world, Mirwaiz said, adding that in addition to popularising Islamic and universal principles of serving the people, Hazrat Umar Farooq’s (RA) contribution in preaching and propagating the message of Islam is unparalleled and historic and they remain a beacon of light till the Day of Judgement. Mirwaiz termed the invaluable deeds and benevolence of the Rightly Guided Caliph (RA) as immortal and unforgettable at every level and in every respect. At this stage, Mirwaiz said the life and teachings of Ameer-ul-Moomineen Hazrat Farooq-e-Azam (RA) is ideal for Muslims, and termed his high teachings, principles and etiquette of governance as a beacon for the present rulers and nobles all over the world.
